NDTA Okinawa

Global Logistics and Transportation

The National Defense Transportation Association (NDTA) Okinawa Chapter is a non-political, non-profit educational association. We work to benefit regional security through knowledge sharing in logistics, transportation and passenger travel services.

WHAT WE DO

For several years, we have provided a trusted joint forum – that does not otherwise exist – for government, military and local private sector experts to build working relationships and develop the next generation of professionals.  To provide knowledge sharing we host monthly General Membership Meetings and tours of logistical activities both on military installations and in the local private sector. Annually we commemorate National Transportation week with a Golf Tournament and Logistics Seminar along with awarding educational scholarships.  Our committees continually plan unique events, lunches, and discussions to foster the Okinawa joint logistics professionals.

MISSION

The NDTA Okinawa Chapter serves to provide a joint forum where government, military, and private sector professionals can solve pressing challenges in the fields of logistics, transportation and passenger travel.  Our priorities are to (1) maintain a joint “trusted forum” by facilitating strong working relationships, education, and the exchange of ideas, (2) invest in programs and capabilities that provide value to our members, and help develop the next generation of professionals, and (3) serve a broader regional security interest through a new focus on Okinawa stakeholders in logistics, transportation, and passenger travel.

ORGANIZATION

The NDTA Okinawa Chapter is organized with officers and a Board of Directors consisting of President, First Vice President, Second Vice President, Secretary,Treasurer, and Action 35 Officers. Per our current ByLaws, the standing committees are (1) Membership, (2) Public Relations, (3) Scholarship, and (4) Action 35.  Additional committees are organized as appropriate to conduct specific business periodically.
